We're seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team and contribute to the success of our commercial/retailprojects.
What you'll do:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with commercial electrical projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Preparing detailed and accurate electrical estimates, including material, labour, and equipment costs.
- Performing take-offs, identifying potential risks, and providing value engineering suggestions.
- Soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Preparing and submitting bid proposals.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of current commercial electrical codes and industry standards.
- Collaborating effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably within the commercial or retailsector.
- A strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
