We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Personal Coach to join our team and provide support to Further Education learners in Oswestry.


Role Overview:

As a Supply Personal Coach at Excell Supply, you will provide one-on-one coaching to Further Education students, supporting them in achieving both academic and personal goals. Your role will involve assessing student needs, offering tailored support, and helping them navigate challenges throughout their educational journey. You will collaborate with course tutors and curriculum teams to ensure that students receive comprehensive and effective support.


Key Responsibilities:

Participant Administration & Training Coordination: Manage participant records, ensuring effective coordination of training schedules, record-keeping, and provision of necessary materials and resources.

Assessing Learners' Needs: Use diagnostic tools to assess students' prior knowledge and develop tailored learning programs to meet individual needs.

Ongoing Support & Progression: Provide continuous, one-on-one coaching to help students overcome barriers to employment or mainstream education. You will offer tailored interventions to ensure student progression and motivation.

Collaboration with Tutors & Curriculum Teams: Work closely with tutors and curriculum teams to ensure cohesive and consistent support for students. Regular communication with colleagues is essential to provide an integrated learning experience.


Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications: A minimum of GCSE grade AC (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Motivational Skills: Ability to inspire and support students in overcoming challenges and achieving their full potential.

Target-Driven Experience: Proven ability to meet performance targets in challenging environments.

Adaptability & Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and quickly familiarize yourself with new qualifications and opportunities.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners.

Organizational Skills: Highly organized with a keen diligence and the ability to work independently under pressure.

IT Proficiency: Competence with email, internet, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Experience in Education/Training Settings: Previous experience in educational or training environments, with a strong understanding of student needs and support strategies.

Customer Service Excellence: Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners, providing exceptional customer service.


Key Requirements:

Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, or a related educational role, ideally within a Further Education setting.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and external partners.

Good IT and administrative skills, including experience with educational software and managing student records.

Ability to assess and understand students' needs, developing tailored support plans to help them succeed.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

An empathetic, student-centred approach to coaching, with the ability to take initiative and respond to student needs.

A relevant coaching or mentoring qualification is desirable, but not essential.
