Area to be covered: North & Midlands

Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000 basic £70,000 OTE

Benefits: Hybrid company car (£600 per month lease value) & benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Fire and Security Protection will involve:

  • Field sales role selling fire and security services (intruder detection, access control, CCTV, fire protection, risk assessment, design, installation, maintenance and monitoring)
  • Predominantly promoting maintenance contracts, switching out other suppliers, but also installations when opportunities arise (legally systems monitored bi-annually)
  • Working alongside a dedicated internal team which focuses on the M&E construction market and picking up new installations (who in turn pass numerous leads for maintenance contracts to this team)
  • Predominantly a new business development role, you will be targeted on selling 10 units per month (fire alarm, intruder detection and CCTV into same customer would count as 3 units)
  • Typically 8-10 customer visits per week
  • Cross-selling and upselling into customers than may benefit from extra fire & security protection
  • Targeting commercial end users, many of who are retailers (stand-alone independent shops up to the multiple retailers; Co-Op, Morrisons etc.)
  • Working out of our clients West Yorkshire office one day per week (flexible as to which day) four days on the road

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Fire and Security Protection with:

  • Must have field sales experience in the fire and security sector (open in terms of what fire or security solution sold)
  • Must have sold solutions (products and services)
  • Open to a ire and security engineer looking to move into field sales
  • New business, must be comfortable to knock on doors
  • Thick skinned, hardworking and excellent work ethic
  • Open in terms of what customers you have may have sold into previously, although commercial/ retail may be advantageous
  • Ideally be aware of the industry standards
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Stable career background
  • Attention to detail and methodical organisational skills
