They invest in their teams of high-quality specialists who work with the best-in-breed technology to create value for our clients which exceeds expectation.Duties and responsibilitiesOur client are on the look out for an enthusiastic and engaging Accounts Senior to join their growing team. You will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Building long lasting client relationships
  • Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when required
  • Using a variety of accounting software packages including CCH, Sage and Xero
  • Developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge
  • Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors
  • Preparing working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations
  • Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations
  • Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the team
  • Build productive relationships with team members and colleagues at Shaw Gibbs, adopting a collaborative working approach

Qualifications and skills requiredOur client are looking for someone with a proactive attitude and high work ethic with at least 3 years of Accounts experience within a practice environment who is confident working independently and working in a team. High organisational skills with intermediate to advanced level skills on Excel and great communication skills are favourable.
