A Financial Accountant is sought for a key role within the Accounting & Finance Department of a leading automotive manufacturing company located in Oxford. This position is integral to the team and will support financial decision-making by collecting, analysing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Description

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analysing and summarising account information.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and assist other finance functions as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
  • Provide support to the wider finance team as necessary.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A solid understanding of financial accounting and reporting principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • IFRS experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complexities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
