On behalf of a growing accountancy practice we are recruiting for an Accounts Senior for the firm’s office on the outskirts of Oxford. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working and flexible working options, that offers a good salary and benefits package, a supportive working environment and career development opportunities.

As Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
  • Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when required
  • Developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge
  • Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors
  • Building long lasting client relationships
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations
  • Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner to exceed client expectations
  • Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the team
  • Build productive relationships with team members and colleagues, adopting a collaborative working approach

We welcome application from candidates with the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
  • Minimum of 3 years UK practice experience
  • University degree with a 2:1 or higher, or 3 good A-Level results
  • Experience of FRS102 1A is essential
  • Experience of SRAs, international accounts, consolidated accounts and/or charity accounts would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel, CCH, Sage and Xero and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
  • A positive, confident and proactive attitude
  • Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and be self-motivated
  • Ability and desire to develop junior staff
