Our client an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts/Senior to join their team in Oxford.

The position will involve managing all aspects of accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients which are assigned to you.

Key duties will include:-

  • Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when required
  • Preparing statutory accounts and management accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations.
  • Planning, reviewing and finalising accounts including; preparation, approval and monitoring of budgets and finalisation of financial statements
  • Maintaining client relationships and dealing any complex queries and adjustments
  • Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
  • Keeping up to date with all accounting changes and attending any training courses where necessary
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

They are ideally looking for someone with previous practice experience of at least 3 years and who hold a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA, although study support may be provided if required. You will also possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have a good technical knowledge of FRS102 1A.

A good understanding of software such as CCH, Sage and Xero would also be an advantage.
