An immediate opportunity has arisen for an Admin Support Officer to join the Rough Sleeping & Single Homeless Team within a local authority in Oxford. The role involves providing general administrative and project support, with a focus on the coordination and proactive management of access to supported accommodation under the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive records of clients requiring accommodation and clients ready to move on.
  • Assist in the referral processes required for providers to meet their move-on targets as set in contracts.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to ensure actions are completed following panel meetings to facilitate access into commissioned supported accommodation.
  • Organise multi-agency case conferences and other events with relevant partners to address issues within service provision.
  • Support the team’s management and development of commissioned services, particularly in relation to supported accommodation.
  • Attend a range of contract monitoring meetings with commissioned services and research best practices to help optimise performance.
  • Update databases and record-keeping systems, ensuring efficient coordination for commissioned supported accommodation.
  • Provide data and analysis of referrals, acceptances, and outcomes to inform future commissioning and needs analysis for Council strategies.
  • Ensure effective sharing of information and work to enable other team members to monitor and manage administration of supported accommodation in the event of absence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within a public sector or non-profit environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage comprehensive records.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with partner agencies.
  • Competency in using databases and record-keeping systems.
  • Ability to provide data analysis and insights for strategy development.
  • A team player who can support colleagues during busy periods and absences.
