Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual looking for an immediate starting fixed-term role that offers valuable experience in a buying environment? If you enjoy administrative tasks, working with spreadsheets, and liaising with suppliers, this could be the perfect role for you.
A well-established retailer is seeking an Administrative Assistant for an 8-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and is comfortable handling samples, updating spreadsheets, and managing supplier communications. While this position offers great experience for those interested in a career in buying, it is heavily focused on administrative duties rather than creative work.
This full-time role is office-based 5 days a week in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire, offering a competitive salary and benefits. Due to the hands-on nature of the role, candidates should be prepared for an active position that involves moving samples around the office.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Unpacking, organising, and packing product samples for selection, range reviews, and photo shoots.
-
Liaising with suppliers, managing orders, and logging returned samples.
-

-
Assisting the Buyer with paperwork and administrative support for catalogues and product selections.
-
Handling warehouse and customer queries to resolve quality concerns or provide product information.
Skills & Experience:
-
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
-
Proficiency in Excel and experience managing spreadsheets.
-
Comfortable with manual handling tasks, including moving and organising samples.
-
A methodical and structured approach to work, with the ability to multitask.
