A well established and fast growing, market leading Engineering/ Manufacturing organisation who partner with large multinationals globally are seeking a talented Technical Sales/Support Manager as they continue to grow!

As the Technical Sales/Support Manager you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining customer relationships, and providing expert technical support. You will act as a key interface between our company and clients, delivering solutions that meet their specific needs while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Sales Development and Management:

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand our customer base in the UK.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through research, networking, and lead generation.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and value of our equipment and solutions.
  • Utilise newly fitted technical centre for customer engagement and demonstrations.

Customer Engagement and Support:

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, technical managers, and decision-makers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring clients receive the highest level of support.
  • Work closely with customers to understand and offer advice on all aspects of the customers application/process and be able to convert this information into solvable solutions and/or equipment sales.

Technical Expertise:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product range and industry standards related to the equipment and solutions we offer.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to offer pre-sales and post-sales support, including product demonstrations, installations, training, and ongoing troubleshooting.
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to our product development team to influence future product enhancements.

Market Insight and Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges in the marketplace.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market developments to senior management.

Key Requirements/Skills:

  • The successful Technical Sales Manager will ideally have a recognised engineering qualification and experience in electronics/instrumentation or mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of SMT, PTH (and micro-electronics) assembly processes would be an advantage.
  • A full clean driving licence and ability to travel across the Southern England territory.
  • Experience working in electronics/instrumentation or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and growing market share.
  • Exceptional communication skills are essential.
