About Us:Our client is a leading regional contractor based in Oxford with an outstanding reputation for successfully completing a diverse portfolio of projects. The contractor works on both new build and refurbishment projects across various sectors, typically ranging in value from £2 million to £19 million.

Recently, the contractor has secured several new schemes, which has prompted a recruitment drive for Site Management positions. They are looking to conduct interviews soon, with a potential start date in November or December.

Role Overview:Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Site Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full operations of upcoming schemes. You may either act as the second-in-command on a £15 million project or lead smaller projects ranging from £3 million to £5 million within the commercial or education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all on-site activities for the £15 million commercial project.
  • Lead and motivate the site team, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Address any on-site issues or challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure the site remains clean, orderly, and secure.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-value commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
  • CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certification.
