The Role

As an Assistant Manager, Assists the Store Manager in co-ordinating the daily operations of the store and the daily activities of the sales team.

Responsibilities of this Assistant Manager - Lifestyle Retail

  1. Oversees and organises the day-to-day operations of the store.
  2. Delivers outstanding customer service, serving as the primary point of contact for customers.
  3. Guarantees clients receive exceptional after-sales support.
  4. Maintains extensive knowledge of all products, both current and new and their selling points.
  5. Achieves monthly sales targets and drives improvements in other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  6. Maintains professional communication with staff across all levels.
  7. Assists the Store Manager in training sales associates.
  8. Ensures timely communication of all customer inquiries/orders to Head Office, adhering to Company Procedures.
  9. Executes store merchandising based on visual guidelines, ensuring well-maintained stock.

To be successful in this Assistant Manager - Lifestyle Retail

  1. Ideally having min 2 years' experience in retail and 1 year in a supervisory role.
  2. You must have management, supervisor/keyholder level experience.
  3. Have strong sales and client experience, preferably in the retail market.
  4. Good understanding of commercial KPI's (financial and non-financial)
  5. Excellent communicational skills and ability to work under pressure.
