Head of Digital and Business Applications

We are working with a Top Global Organisation looking for a Head of Digital and Business Applications to drive the company's technology vision.

This role is focused on supporting the digital needs of the business (including digital products, websites, tools, and applications) and spearheading and developing the digital culture. You will also be responsible for managing the complex suite of applications across the business and supporting legacy system transformations and ambitious digital transformation.

Due to the complexity of the organisation this role requires strong leadership as well as a hands-on ability to architect, design and maintain enterprise class application services. You will also be managing global teams and influencing C-Level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the companies' digital ambitions including website and custom applications.
  • Lead and manage the Digital Delivery team including offshore developers.
  • Develop the Digital culture through Agile delivery methodologies, DevOps, Lean etc.
  • Translate business strategy into application design.
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and management of business applications across the Global Organisation.
  • Manage the deployment of ERP and CRM solutions - specifically D365.
  • Streamline technology deployment across Business Functions and sites.
  • Demonstrate technical and functional expertise including UAT, user consultations, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Engage meaningfully with senior stakeholders.
  • Support Project Management activities and champion IT governance and compliance.
  • Provide professional leadership within the application team.

Required Experience:

  • Strong experience within a complex global organisation, delivering large suites of enterprise application services.
  • Experience streamlining and implementing modern and legacy applications.
  • Ability to be hands on and technical.
  • Experience implementing middleware solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services.
  • Experience leading partnerships with suppliers, internal customers and external stakeholders.
  • Experience across the application lifecycle from architecting, designing, building and maintaining.
  • Experience with Java is preferable.
  • Experience with D365 is preferable.
