An inclusive mainstream primary school in Horspath / Oxford are looking for a teaching assistant to work with Autistic children in the school across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The Primary school would ideally like someone with an understanding or experience with ABA. The position is to begin ASAP and requires a minimum of a Level 3 qualification and ideally a degree.

The ideal ASD teaching assistant will have previous experience working with Autism and be able to offer strategies to support the children. The school are looking for a proactive ASD teaching assistant, who can use their initiative and be highly flexible/adaptive. In return the school offers ample CPD opportunities including regular training within different fields of SEN as well as teacher training in the long run. A background and understanding of ABA is ideal for this ASD teaching assistant position.

The Primary school is graded good by Ofsted and the local authority have commended them for their highly inclusive and diverse culture. The successful ASD teaching assistant will be working alongside the SENCO as well as a large team of experienced teaching assistants, speech and language therapist, psychologists, emotional literacy support therapists etc.
