Experienced Battery Performance Engineer - OxfordOur client, a leading research and development company located in the heart of Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced Battery Performance Engineer to join their team.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play a vital role in developing the next generation of high-performance batteries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing battery cell technology, conducting thermal electrochemical analysis, and optimizing HV battery systems.Qualifications Required for Battery Performance Engineer Role:We are looking for a candidate who holds a STEM degree and has relevant experience in battery performance engineering. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of battery cells, their structure, and their performance.Skills Required for Battery Performance Engineer Role:The ideal candidate should possess expertise in the following areas:Battery Cell TechnologyAs our new engineer, you will have hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technologies that support high-performance batteries. You will be responsible for developing new battery cell technologies and improving existing ones.Thermal, Electrical & Electrochemical AnalysisYou will use your knowledge of heat transfer principles to determine optimal operating temperatures within these complex electrical devices. You will also be responsible for conducting thermal electrochemical & electrical analysis and optimizing thermal management systems.HV Batteries Systems OptimizationWe are looking for someone who can take charge when it comes time to optimize hybrid vehicle powertrains by utilizing data-driven approaches as well as testing and simulation methodologies. You will also be responsible for optimizing the HV battery systems to ensure that they meet the performance requirements of the vehicle.

You will be experienced in data analysis using Matlab and have experience of systems modelling & simulation.

Salary, Package & Hybrid Working:We offer a competitive salary of £50k per annum, plus a pension, bonus, and private medical benefits.
