Role Responsibilities

  • Leading audit assignments from planning to completion across a diverse client base, including academies, charities, and SMEs
  • Reviewing audit work and statutory accounts prepared by junior team members
  • Managing teams on-site and supporting the development of trainees through mentoring and training
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships as the main point of contact during audits
  • Assisting the audit manager and partners with complex assignments and advisory work
  • Ensuring compliance with auditing and accounting standards as well as internal processes

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Significant audit experience gained within a UK accountancy firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and audit procedures
  • Proven experience in leading audits and managing staff
  • Excellent communication skills, with a client-first approach
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
