About the Role:
We're looking for an ambitious and dynamic Finance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our growing businesses. As Finance Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial success and ensure smooth operations across two companies. In this role, you'll manage everything from overseeing the accounts team to handling financial strategy, budgeting, and compliance, while also having the opportunity to shape the role based on your expertise and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and manage the Accounts Team as Finance Manager, ensuring all invoicing, debt management, and payroll functions are executed with precision and efficiency.
  • Take charge of VAT, Corporation Tax, and other financial processing, ensuring everything runs smoothly under your guidance as Finance Manager.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and monthly management accounts, providing critical financial insights and advice to the board as the Finance Manager.
  • Collaborate with external accountants to prepare annual company accounts and ensure all compliance tasks are completed on time.
  • Take responsibility for filing important documents such as the annual return, R&D claims, and PAYE Settlement Agreement.
  • Oversee office operations, including maintaining health & safety documentation, managing IT procurement, and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
  • Administer staff benefits and manage equipment and company vehicle leasing, ensuring everything is up to date and in line with policies.

Team Structure:

  • As Finance Manager, you will work alongside a dedicated team, including a Team Assistant and a Credit Controller, to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • ACA or equivalent accounting qualification, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience producing consolidated financial statements.
  • At least 2+ years in a financial reporting environment, ideally within an SME, with hands-on involvement in financial operations as Finance Manager.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to develop partnerships in a global organization.
  • Ability to work independently, meet short deadlines, and advocate for strong internal controls.
  • Experience with Oracle HFM (or similar consolidation software) is a plus.
