Description
The Finance Manager will play a key role as this company grows over the coming years.
- Oversee management of day-to-day financial matters of the company with the help of the Finance Assistant and alongside the Finance Consultant.
- Line-manage the Finance Assistant.
- Liaise with external services for audit preparation, banking, and other financial needs as necessary.
- Track the organisation's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and red flags.
- Work with the Project Managers to plan expenditure on project accounts.
- Seek out methods of minimising financial risk to the organisation.
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
- Oversee credit control and contributing to budget and forecast preparation.
- Develop cashflow forecasting to enhance cash management.
- Establish, maintain and update high standard financial practices.
- Oversee the annual financial audit.
- Oversee grant reporting for EC funded grants
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Strong background in an all round accounting position within an SME
- Professional qualification in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in financial software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Job Offer
- A basic salary package in the range of £36,000 - £40,000.
