We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and ambitious accountancy practice with several offices across the country. With a huge amount of growth in recent years, they have created a new role of Group Compliance Manager to join their Compliance team.

This role offers the opportunity to shape compliance strategy, work with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to a business known for its high standards, supportive environment, and exciting growth plans.

The Role

As the Group Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement a company-wide compliance and risk strategy.
  • Ensure compliance is embedded into the company culture through training and communication.
  • Prepare regulatory applications for new acquisitions and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Update risk assessments, policies, and client onboarding templates to reflect regulatory changes.
  • Identify and resolve potential conflicts, ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place.
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • Represent compliance in group projects and ensure best practices are incorporated into new processes.
  • Draft and implement new regulatory guidelines as needed.

This role will require travel between offices, so a full clean driving license will be required.

What Were Looking For:

  • ACCA or ICAEW qualified individuals (or qualified by experience)
  • Experience working in practice environment or a regulatory role.
  • Have a strong understanding of compliance and risk management within the accounting industry.
  • Are a confident communicator with the ability to build rapport across all levels of an organization.
