Job Purpose
  • Manage a diverse client portfolio, monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Preparation of accounts for a varied client base, including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
  • Review tax work completed by junior staff, including quality control and constructive feedback
  • Ensure precise, comprehensive accounts to meet all compliance requirements
  • Monitor team performance, identifying knowledge gaps and providing training as needed
  • Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
  • Support Partners and Directors by undertaking ad-hoc projects as required

The Successful Applicant
  • ATT / CTA qualified, part-qualified or with the desire to begin studying
  • Qualified by extensive experience would also be considered
  • Demonstrable tax experience within UK practice
  • Excellent knowledge of tax compliance issues and regulations
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
