We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join an established regional business from their regional office in Oxford.
They turnover in excess of 100 million across their 4 offices and target schemes between 5 and 20 million. They have a healthy mix of clients and a significant amount of their work is repeat negotiated work alongside regional and local framework opportunities and competitive tendering for specific targeted projects.
Typical projects include schools - both new build and refurb, local healthcare trusts and wider NHS schemes, industrial and commercial developments and retail and leisure schemes and they work across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Herts.
The role is to join an established estimating team and work the wider preconstruction, bid, design and planning teams to produce the best available tender and bid each and every time.
Traditional duties will include identification of clients/projects, cost analysis, production of bills of quantities, liaison with architects and engineers, sending out and dealing with tender enquiries, dealing with existing supply chain and interviewing and appraisal of new contractors to help and work with the delivery teams, identify cost and programme savings. Experience of doing your own take offs and using Conquest software packages would be an advantage.
The role would suit someone with excellent 1st principle estimating skills and experience looking to join an established modern contractor where you can set your own targets and guidelines and have the flexibility to exercise your own skills and talents
