We are seeking to appoint a HR Assistant to join the Bursary team at Summer Fields in varied and busy role. Providing administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks and duties include coordinating the recruitment and new starter processes, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment and statutory requirements. You will also assist with the management and processing of the payroll system and maintain employee records and accurate HR databases.

You will have efficient and effective administrative skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied work load is required in addition to a professional attitude and pro-active approach. You will have an understanding of confidentiality issues and the requirements of data protection legislation is essential. Previous relevant experience within a Human Resources and/or a Recruitment department and knowledge of personnel policies and procedures are also important.

Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

To support the HR Manager in providing an efficient and effective HR service for the school. Assisting the HR Manager who is responsible for ensuring the school’s compliance with safer recruitment procedures and all aspects of Human Resources Management. The HR Assistant provides administrative support, in particular concentrating on recruitment activity, maintaining and updating HR records.
