The firm's Agricultural Property team is ranked Top Tier in both The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners and is recognised as one of the largest and most highly regarded standalone teams in the region. The team acts for a diverse client base, including some of the UK's largest estates, farmers, landowners, and educational institutions.

The Oxford-based team operates as part of the firm's broader Real Estate department and works closely with specialists in tax, trusts, agricultural litigation, planning, and environmental law. Headed by a nationally recognised expert ranked as a Leading Individual in Chambers & Partners (2024) and The Legal 500 (2024), the team delivers top-tier legal advice and handles high-value, complex transactions.

About the Role

The successful candidates will work on a variety of agricultural and development matters, including:

  • Sales and acquisitions of farmland, estates, and rural properties.
  • Negotiating Promotion and Collaboration Agreements for large-scale developments.
  • Advising on agricultural finance and refinancing transactions.
  • Supporting clients with renewable energy schemes, diversification projects, and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality legal advice to rural clients on a range of property matters.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional client service.
  • Managing financial performance, including accurate time recording and achieving targets.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives to grow the practice.
