We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and lead a new-build residental project in Oxford. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable construction firm.
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for all on-site activities, ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a hands-on role for a candidate with experience in managing large-scale construction projects, specifically within the residentalsector. You'll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure a smooth and effective construction process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and health & safety standards.
- Manage and coordinate all site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring quality standards are met at every stage of the build.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to mitigate delays or risks.
- Conduct regular site meetings with the project team and contractorsto communicate expectations and project goals.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies, particularly in relation to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain site records, including daily logs, reports, and timesheets.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and design teams to resolve any design or technical issues.
- Manage and control site costs in line with the project budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on new-build projects, ideally within the residentalsector.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Relevant construction qualifications, such as NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction regulations, health & safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid CSCS card.
