Job Title: Systems Coordinator - Waste                                             

Salary: £ 29,561

Location: Oxford

Contract: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week

Role Purpose

To manage the software systems used to support the waste contracts, offering day to day support to the operational sites, waste planners, audit schedules, waste and recycling one central support, including the portal management, customer reports, SharePoint management and managing the transactions for the brokered waste sites. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support with Waste and Recycling One software and Smart World (SW) ensuring the operational sites are using the system effectively in accordance with procedures
  • To support compliance with the company's waste management procedure
  • To be the go-to person for WR1 and SW portal queries
  • Support the duty of care audits for all sites and customers sites
  • Amending the WR1 system as required from the SW updates
  • Ensuring that the audits are in date, valid and up to standard
  • Report audit findings to the Head of Sustainability, Environment and Waste and or the Waste Contracts Support Manager
  • Attend monthly waste meetings and produce the minutes
  • Create monthly progress reports, KPI's and present findings when required
  • To comply with any reasonable requests made by the Site Contract Manager, Regional General Manager or Board of Management
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Company HR processes, ensuring they are carried out correctly, seeking support where appropriate
  • To support the active promotion of products and services to the customer, liaising with colleagues at all levels to ensure a co-ordinated approach by the Company
  • This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities associated with the role.  In addition, you will perform other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sustainability, Environment and Waste and Waste Contracts Support Manager
  • You will report to the Site Contracts Manager, you will also provide support to the Head of Sustainability, Environment and Waste and the Waste Contracts Support Manager. You will work closely with site based operational teams, sales, customers and suppliers.
  • You will be required to plan and structure your activities. There are no line management responsibilities for this role

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Educated to GCSE Level (or equivalent) to include Maths and English
  • Relevant experience in carrying out similar tasks and within a similar role
  • Sound understanding of the need to work safely
  • Familiarity with working in a factory environment
  • Good Administrations Skills
  • Good Excel Skills

Desirable

  • SAP understanding
  • Waste compliance - Duty of Care understanding
  • ADR Basic Awareness
  • Experience of the waste industry

Skills, Abilities and Personal Qualities

  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of MS software particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and support staff to do the same
  • Concern for customer satisfaction
  • Positive and determined approach
  • Planning provision of resource
