Your new organisation is a historic Higher Education provider in Oxford. A key department of this provider is looking to appoint a Director of IT to head up the Services of that division and lead the strategy and management of the IT function.

In your new role you will be responsible for leading an effective wider team with a particular emphasis on the development of existing staff. You will be expected to implement effective service management practices,to oversee the management of the IT Infrastructure, lead on a variety of upcoming IT projects and to effectively partner with other senior stakeholders and the wider organisation to ensure adherence to the processes and procedures expected of the division.

In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities, including management of wider teams of 15 plus and to have effectively communicated and influenced stakeholders to buy into your leadership philosophy for continuous improvement. You will also have strong experience implementing service management principles, and have worked ideally in a Higher Education setting.
