About our Client
Our client is in his first year at the University of Oxford, where he is studying History. He is staying on St Hildas College Campus. He has diagnosis of Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and requires support with certain aspects of his personal care, medication, administration and general social support.
Our client finds enjoyment in reading and is looking for someone to talk about any shared interests while also encouraging the pursuit of new experiences. Talks and clubs may be of interest to him, so he's looking for a PA to be willing to try things with a positive mindset. Additionally, the client loves different quiz shows which allow him to stretch his mind and learn new facts, leading to great conversations. He also enjoys video games. This young adult however does enjoy his independence and would like his own space, which would be vocalised to the PA. Our client is excited about living away from home to gain more independence whilst at university. He would like a PA who will support him on this journey while occasionally helping him out of his comfort zone.
As written by him
I am roughly 1.6 metres high with a slight build. I enjoy disability athletics at the weekend when I am at home. I am easy going with a good sense of humour, also can be geeky, kind and caring.
I enjoy reading (especially history books), video games and hanging out with friends.
My interests are: watching Dr Who, Politics and political history, reading, theatre (particularly Shakespeare), cinema and watching quiz shows. I also enjoy a good chat, and have a very varied taste in music!
I love classic old movies (e.g.: Bride of Frankenstein 1935), James Bond, Action and comedy as well.Personally, I am a bit of a geek! I try to be as positive and enthusiastic, although I am still finding my confidence. If possible, I would like to be a part of a few societies and clubs as I would like to develop my independence and just enjoy all aspects of student life.
