Part-Time Floating Support Worker - Housing First (Oxfordshire)
4 days per week covering the Cherwell area
£15.00 - £16.00 per hour plus mileage
Are you passionate about tackling homelessness and making a real difference in people’s lives? Our client is looking for a Part-Time Floating Support Worker to help sustain the effective delivery of the Housing First approach across Oxfordshire.
In this role, you will work closely with the Oxfordshire Homeless Pathway, a collaborative network of Housing Associations and Local Authorities, to identify, engage, and support individuals in need of stable housing. You’ll play a vital part in connecting tenants with essential services and activities, empowering them to rebuild their lives.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve a diverse range of tasks, including:
- Providing flexible support across the Cherwell district, assisting the Housing First team with client engagement, key working sessions, and risk-responsive support.
- Ensuring consistent coverage and resilient support, particularly during staff absences.
- Helping to develop and document individualised support plans that prioritise client choice and independence.
- Representing our client at relevant meetings and advocating for Housing First principles with housing providers and local authorities.
- Maintaining accurate case notes, risk assessments, and safeguarding records using our client’s database.
- Assisting the Housing First Project Manager with data collection and reporting.
- Encouraging clients to participate in wider charitable projects and development opportunities.
- Approaching the role with enthusiasm, adaptability, and a solution-focused mindset.
