Youth Mental Health Worker - Headington

A really rewarding position has become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Headington. This is a great opportunity to work with students who have been excluded from mainstream education. They need support in engaging in their lessons, concentrating and staying on track. They also need additional support in making use of their therapeutic practices and techniques.

As a Youth Mental Health Worker you will directly be involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions and adopt healthy coping strategies.

Your day-to-day duties will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher, whilst providing 1:1 support for the students. You will also help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and engaging place.

Overall this will be a transformative experience, enriching your life while also making a positive impact on the lives of children who are struggling to cope in the classroom

Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Those with a background in sports, art or drama will also be at an advantage. Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
