Behaviour Support Assistant

A lovely school in Oxford are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join them in the new academic year. They are looking for someone to come in and support their students in the everyday runnings of the classroom and help the school day run smoothly.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment while ensuring that all students receive the individualised guidance they need to thrive in the classroom.

During your work as a behaviour support assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with students aged 4-16.You will engage with them and help the class teacher deliver tailored support and guidance based on their individual and unique learning requirements.

In this role, you will support the students in coping with their emotions as well as regulating and processing in ways that are beneficial to them so that any challenging behaviour may be worked through in healthy ways. You will make use of any interventions that the class teacher has in place, as well as follow any restorative practices.

While working as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will benefit from being surrounded by a supportive team of staff and have opportunities to shadow and learn from other experienced professionals.
