Our client is a leading worldwide publisher of large print and unabridged audiobooks. The company offers a wide variety of large print titles and unabridged audio books.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Music Technology, English Literature or relevant field
    • Excellent understanding of English grammar and pronunciation and knowledge of another language is useful
    • Understanding of both Analogue and Digital Audio Recording equipment and software such as Pro Tools and Izotope RX
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Google Products (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and project management software such as ClickUp
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Team collaboration skills
    • Able to concentrate for long periods of time

What will your role look like?

  • Seeing the production of audiobooks from the recording stage through to the creation of deliverables
  • This role is split with time spent producing in the studio with the actor/reader (checking for characterisation consistency, pronunciation, pacing, etc.) and in the office editing recorded sessions to result in a quality, consistent and engaging product
  • Producing and engineering recording sessions with the actors
  • Dialogue editing
  • Script annotation
  • The creation and formatting of deliverable files such as WAVs, Mp3s, DDPs, etc
