I am working with a client who have an exciting opportunity for an M&E Technician (Mechanical ) to join their Facilities Management team based at a well known hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.

The role:

  • To apply trade skills and experience to any allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor or Manager
  • To work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out maintenance / repair or mechanical services as well as refurbishments and new works to plant and equipment across the site
  • To integrate and communicate effectively with other trade staff such as engineers, particularly for mechanical maintenance, new and remedial works
  • To carry out mechanical repairs and cleaning of mechanical components and equipment
  • To respond promptly and efficiently to plant breakdowns
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About you:

Essential

  • Must hold a recognised advanced mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT literate, with ambition for personal development

  • Experience of engineering in various service streams
  • HVAC training undertaken
  • MGPS experience
