Our client, a quality book manufacturer continues to grow in sales and is experiencing consistent year on year growth.
They are currently looking for a Qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer to join the Maintenance Team.
Main duties will be maintaining and repairing all plant equipment to both legal and company standards, whilst maintaining the maximum productive capacity.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to deliver efficiencies in response times, fault finding and monitoring performance of repairs.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Planned repair and maintenance of printing and bookbinding machinery to acceptable company standards and conforming to all relevant legal requirements
- Daily repair, maintenance and inspection of all ancillary equipment associated with the site and buildings
- Installation and project work on equipment associated with the printing and bookbinding trade plus ancillary equipment associated with the site and buildings
- To be able to work alone and under own initiative to maintain high company standards of maintenance and health and safety
- To assist in the supervision and training of apprentices
- Work towards continual improvement at all times
- To assist with any reasonable duties associated with the job/position
- Have a flexible attitude to working hours to meet business demands
Applicants will need:
- Previous experience of maintenance and repair of production machinery
- City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation regarding safe work practises
- Able to work in a high speed deadline driven environment
- A can-do flexible approach to work and a willingness to drive quality and continuous improvement
- Experience working with industry standard systems and processes (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 27001)
