MAC Recruit Group Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a leading Scottish charity in their search to appoint a part-time, permanent Bookkeeper within their Paisley Head Office.
This charity have been instrumental in supporting a key demographic across Scotland, with large scale growth and a truly worthwhile mission. Reporting into the CEO, your key responsibilities will surround:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly reports, and budget forecast
- Process accruals, prepayments, and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with the team to compile annual budgets and forecasts
- Oversee sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers, including processing invoices and reconciliation
- Maintain accurate records of creditors, debtors, and donations
- Manage payroll processes by liaising with the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring accurate salary and expense payments
- Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, company credit/debit cards, and online income sources
- Support the preparation for the annual audit, including liaising with external auditors and processing audit journals
- Handle general administrative duties, including membership renewals, volunteer recruitment, and office procedures
- Support the CEO with any other tasks as required
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Strong commitment to reporting and accountability
- Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Effective communicator with a cooperative and collaborative approach
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in MS Excel
