Manufacturing Process Engineer

Glasgow

Our client is a leading Scottish Manufacturing organisation who are proactive in their approach to investment in people, process and technology and are now seeking someone to join their busy manufacturing engineering team.The Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for the maintaining, developing, and optimising both new and existing processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Being process driven and continuous improvement focused will be essential. This position will work within the Manufacturing Excellence Team but will have key relationships with Production, Technical, Engineering and Quality Control.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Analyse process and product performance through engineering studies and statistics
  • Ensure the optimisation and stability of current processes and products
  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis activities when problems occur on the production line
  • Identify and solve potential problems which could lead to product or equipment failures
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Support the design of new processes and systems for both new and existing products
  • Support the instillation and commissioning of new equipment and processes
  • Lead, support and develop the production support team

Experience Desired

  • Excellent manufacturing engineering skills and experience within high volume manufacturing
  • Demonstrate experience working in similar role
  • Experience analysing and validating processes and products
  • Experienced in Equipment validations (IQ, OQ & PQ)
  • Experience working with key stakeholders to achieve a common goal
  • Has lead projects focused on process engineering and continuous improvement
  • Experience leading teams focused on process engineering and continuous improvement
