Due to continued growth,SRS Partnershipare recruiting for an experienced Buyer for their Renfrewshire based client where you will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing requirements.

Reporting into the Procurement Manager you will lead the team and have tactical responsibility for the management and performance of suppliers in the delivery of all live commitments.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who stays calm under pressure and is comfortable with multi-tasking to deliver projects on time. The successful candidate should have previous experience in a buying role, have sound commercial acumen, a high level of attention to detail and be prepared to work quickly and effectively with a large and varied workload.

Key Responsibilities

Compiling, inputting, and reviewing purchasing data within the ERP and other systems.

Actively strive to achieve the greatest value contribution, benefit realisation and efficiency from indirect procurement activities.

Obtaining and arranging the appropriate inbound transport requirements.

Interfacing with the sales support team to plan the delivery of all sales orders expectations.

Expediting purchase orders when required.

Stakeholder engagement - address supplier quality and supplier performance issues

Resolving purchase ledger queries from the accounts team

Monitoring and presenting KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Training and mentoring junior team members.

Ensuring adherence to the quality management system.

Drive to encourage continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

Purchasing, supply chain or expediting experience within a manufacturing or engineering business.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.

MRP/ERP literate.

Effective time management and strong organisational skills, particularly in progressing multiple work streams simultaneously.

Able to build and maintain commercially effective relationships with various suppliers concurrently.

Strong problem solver.

Project management experience.
