Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Salary: 42,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 Days / 4 Off / 4 Nights / 4 Off
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join our clients team in a manufacturing/chemical environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving our production processes while working on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
- Diagnose faults and repair mechanical components, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulics/pneumatics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Work closely with other engineers and production teams to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Time-served or qualified in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
- Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Basic electrical knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
