Production Operator
- Location: Penicuik, Edinburgh
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to FridayÂ
- Salary: £12 per hour / £23,400 per annum
Reed Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join a leading manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in manufacturing high-quality diagnostic products while ensuring compliance with GMP standards.Â
Day to Day of the role:
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of manufacturing processes.
- Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Update procedures and documents to reflect current practices.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff members.
- Perform a variety of tasks across different departments, including formulation, processing, monoclonal management, fill/label/pack operations, buffer and reagent preparation, and production services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Standard Grade or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Experience working within a lab based role would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic IT and strong numeracy skills.
- Previous experience in a GMP environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a clean room setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Flexibility to work in different departments as needed.
- Manual handling capability (e.g., lifting 10L/KG).
- Strict adherence to PPE and safety regulations.
