We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a renowned gastro pub in the heart of the Lake District. With a focus on delivering exceptional dishes crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, this is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional to take the reins and shape a dynamic kitchen.

Head Chef Ideal Profile:

  • Proven experience in a Head Chef role or as a Senior Sous Chef ready to take the next step
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering high-quality dishes
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a kitchen team
  • Excellent organizational skills and financial acumen, including stock management and GP control
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene

Head Chef Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations
  • Design and deliver innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the venue's ethos and commitment to quality
  • Manage supplier relationships to source the finest local ingredients
  • Train and mentor, the team to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish
