Treasury Analyst

We are pleased to be working with the Penrith Building Society as they seek a Treasury Analyst to join their established Finance Team. They are changing their approach to Treasury Management from a regulatory perspective and are looking to bring this individual on to support this transition and beyond.

The Treasury Analyst will report to their Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer, in the delivery of treasury and liquidity management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, wanting to gain experience in a Treasury Function. You will be confident and keen to develop your own knowledge, with support and guidance from the rest of the team.

Duties of the Treasury Analyst will include:

  • Management of the liquidity and funding forecasting and stress testing processes and associated assumptions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and input into the production of balance sheet forecasts and support the FC with the preparation of ILAAP and ICAAP documents.
  • Work as the primary dealer (front office treasury) for all treasury transactions entered into via brokers or direct and taking decisions on cash requirements from a treasury perspective in conjunction with the FC and CFO.
  • Assisting in treasury projects for the department and wider business (e.g. entry to the Sterling Monetary Framework)
  • Preparation of liquidity and treasury related regulatory reporting

The successful individual will possess:

  • Be a qualified accountant

The Penrith operate a hybrid approach to the working week, with a minimum of 2 days at their head office. Their preference would be a full time individual, however are very open to part time hours.
