Job Title: Metrologist

Location: Coventry, UK

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

 

 

This role involves calibrating and certifying Dimensional Measuring Equipment and Reference Masters in line with approved operating procedures while ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Calibration & Certification - Conduct precise calibration and certification of dimensional measurement equipment.
  • Quality & Compliance - Ensure all work aligns with UKAS standards and company procedures.
  • Customer Interaction - Provide technical support and expertise on measurement applications.
  • On-Site Work - Independently perform tasks both in-house and at customer premises.
  • Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate administrative records and reports.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Engineering Background - Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or an engineering apprenticeship with significant experience in standards room/gauge inspection techniques.
  • Metrology Expertise - Strong knowledge of dimensional metrology and inspection techniques.
  • Industry Knowledge - Familiarity with technical terminology within the sector.
  • Communication & Organisation - Strong interpersonal, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Adaptability - Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn new skills.
