Position: Head of Quality

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire

Job Type: Permanent

Our client, an established, globally recognised manufacturing business that specialises in crawler track systems are on the hunt for a Head of Quality.

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for the Quality across 4 manufacturing facilities (2 in the UK and 2 internationally). You will look to oversee all existing quality functions and processes, supplier quality management and the business QMS.

Other responsibilities include:

• Work with top level management to determine and implement long term quality assurance strategies that focus on reducing quality associated risks to the business and its customers
• Maintain procedures and processes within an ISO9001 certified QMS, ensuring companywide compliance to UK, legal and customer specifications and standards
• Represent the business in front of our global supply base by working in both internal and external locations to add value to how we source, design, develop and manage the quality of parts to meet the demands of our customers.
• Lead and manage the quality function from new product conception through to warranty analysis to ensure a proactive culture so that customers receive the product to their expectations and within agreed standards

Experience or Qualifications –

• Degree level educated within a technical engineering function
• Proven leadership experience of quality functions and heading up a quality department within a business in the manufacturing sector
• Experince in ISO management systems such as ISO9001, 14001 and 45001
• Desirable background in steel fabrications and/or machining environment.
