Adecco Worcester are recruiting for a Head of Quality for our client in Pershore.

You will oversee the quality function across four manufacturing sites, focusing on meeting customer needs and ensuring product excellence. They work closely with various teams like Sourcing, Engineering, and Sales. Managing both UK and China quality teams, ensure compliance with standards and drive improvements. This role reports to the Managing Director, supporting diverse business functions from Production to sourcing strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term quality strategies to reduce risks and meet customer expectations.
  • Lead quality processes from product conception to warranty analysis, ensuring proactive quality culture.
  • Maintain ISO9001 standards, ensuring compliance and alignment with legal and customer requirements.
  • Drive improvement across all sites, implementing new processes where needed and standardising quality controls.
  • Represent the company to customers, ensuring their expectations are understood and met.
  • Work with global suppliers to enhance sourcing, design, and quality of parts.
  • Ensure alignment with supplier standards and monitor their performance.
  • Lead and develop the quality team in the UK and Asia.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Degree in a technical discipline or relevant experience
  • Leadership experience in manufacturing quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in steel fabrication.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in technical reporting and ISO9001 management systems.
  • Experience with continuous improvement activities and APQP/PPAP processes.
  • Flexibility for regular international travel.

Advantageous:

  • Experience with ISO management systems 14001 and 45001.
  • QMS Lead auditor certification.
  • Experience in QMS implementation.
  • Familiarity with Far Eastern supply chains.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in construction or agricultural machinery sectors.
