Chartered Town Planner Job in Perthshire, Scotland / Remote

Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) job available with a rural land specialist consultancy based in Scotland. Seeking an experience Town Planner with commercial and private client experience to join their team on a full-time basis. The location is flexible from any of their offices or potentially as a fully remote role. The role Offers up to 45,000 + 2,500 Car Allowance + More!

Established over a century ago, this consultancy focuses on rural property management and development, covering land management, sporting and forestry management, estate agency and utility work. Working towards the highest industry standards whilst also supporting the growth of their teams, creating a collaborative and welcoming environment to be a part of. The ideal candidate will have experience working on rural planning from either an consultancy, house builder, or local authority. RTPI membership is essential for this position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive planning service, working alongside the architectural and surveying teams
  • Support with obtaining statutory consents for developments across farm and rural
  • Cover all phases of planning projects, providing accurate and timely advice to clients across the UK
  • Site assessments and feasibility studies
  • Preparation and submission of planning applications, also covering appeals and negotiations with local authorities or stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with planning legislation and policy changes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or similar
  • MRTPI membership is essential
  • Proven experience in a similar position focused on land and rural developments
  • Strong understanding of UK planning laws and regulations, including knowledge of agricultural and forestry permits
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
