Management Accountant

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid - 2-3 days office-based)Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Private Medical Insurance

This is a broad and varied role that goes well beyond traditional management accounting. You’ll play a key part in delivering financial insight, supporting decision-making, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.

Reporting into a Finance Manager with a deep understanding of the role, you’ll benefit from excellent onboarding and ongoing support, with clear potential to progress into a more senior position over time.

• Support the accurate reflection of financial performance through regular reporting and reconciliation

• Monitor and analyse business costs, providing clarity and challenge where needed

• Partner with key stakeholders to review spend and provide commercial insight

• Deliver budgeting and forecasting support, including cost and headcount planning

• Assist with balance sheet oversight and monthly reporting processes

• Respond to financial queries across the business, ensuring accurate coding and allocation

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes

• Help enhance system usage and reporting efficiency through automation where possible

• Provide timely, meaningful financial information to support the tracking of business performance

• Part-qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA)

• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach

• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively

• Commercially minded, proactive, and solutions-focused

• Keen to develop and take on more responsibility over time
