Our client is known for their commitment to quality, long-term client relationships, and a collaborative working environment. They are now seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team on a full-time, office-based basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable or general finance to take on a varied and rewarding role within a stable and supportive organisation.

About the RoleAs an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely payments, resolving queries, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and customers. This role offers a mix of credit control, reporting, and general accounting tasks, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their finance experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment allocation, and reconciliation.
  • Proactively chase outstanding debts via phone and email, ensuring timely payments and resolving any disputes or queries.
  • Prepare and analyse aged debt reports, providing regular updates to management and clients.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external customers to resolve payment issues and improve processes.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations.
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail, with fast and accurate data entry abilities.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
  • At least 2 years in an accounts receivable, credit control, or general finance role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Netsuite, or similar is desirable.
  • Experience in broader finance tasks or familiarity with sales order processing systems would be advantageous.
