We are seeking to appoint an EHCP Coordinator, to take on a newly created role within the school. This is a critical role in the school and the successful candidate will work closely with all school stakeholders, ensuring that EHCPs and Annual Reviews are highly effective and inclusive.

Our partner is a specialist all-through school in Peterborough, who cater to pupils with EHCP's in place predominantly for Autism, SEMH, Mild and Complex Learning Disabilities.

Key duties of the role:

  1. Managing the EHCP Process: Overseeing the creation, implementation, and review of EHCPs for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This involves ensuring that each plan meets statutory requirements and is tailored to the individual needs of the student

  2. Liaising with Families and Professionals: Working closely with families, educators, health professionals, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure that the EHCP is comprehensive and personalized

  3. Conducting Assessments and Reviews: Coordinating assessments to determine the child's needs and conducting regular reviews to ensure the EHCP remains relevant and up-to-date

  4. Facilitating Multi-Disciplinary Meetings: Organizing and leading meetings with various stakeholders to develop and review EHCPs, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved

  5. Providing Guidance and Support: Offering support to professionals involved in implementing EHCP provisions and acting as a central point of contact for parents and carers

  6. Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records and documentation related to the EHCP process, including assessments, reviews, and meetings
