About the Role:

A well-established compliance safety company is seeking a Technical Lead Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to join its Peterborough office in Glinton, with the option for remote working. In this key role, you will support the engineering team by ensuring that inspection and testing results are accurately recorded and fully compliant with British NICEIC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Enhance the quality and professionalism of services by implementing and maintaining systems that uphold the highest technical and administrative standards within the Electrical Division.

- Work alongside the Head of Electrical to monitor all relevant statutory and non-statutory standards, ensuring ongoing compliance.

- Oversee the continued professional development of all electrically trained staff.

- Ensure daily practices meet the rigorous standards set by legislative, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.

- Manage the technical team, ensuring that all processes and controls are followed to maintain compliance.

- Maintain the accuracy and operational readiness of the Electrical departments test equipment.

- Resolve complex technical queries from staff and clients that cannot be addressed by other technical management members.

- Conduct post-audit inspections and certify completed works to ensure they meet industry standards.

- Review and oversee technical inspections of field-based engineers carried out by other technical management staff.

- Provide initial and ongoing training for engineers, maintaining accurate training records to ensure compliance with quality management systems.

- Serve as the primary contact for NICEIC assessments, attending annual assessment visits across the UK.

- Lead on the technical aspects of tender opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the field-based engineering teams.

- Oversee accreditations and stay informed of legislative changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Key Skills and Attributes:

- Extensive knowledge of NICEIC compliance and accreditation.

- Significant industry experience.

- Minimum Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th Edition certification.

- Strong understanding of IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations, Codes of Practice, and related guidance.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective team relationships.

- Strong commitment to first-call resolution, effectively addressing issues to prevent repeat occurrences.
