Join an award-winning team and play a key role in delivering a £100M programme of combined sewer overflows (CSOs) and sewage treatment works storm overflows across the West Anglian Water region.Your Role as a Design Manager:As a Design Manager, you’ll lead a talented engineering team to develop holistic, system-based solutions that prioritise catchment-wide impact. Your mission will be to create designs that align with our PAS 2080 carbon reduction hierarchy while optimising efficiency and sustainability.Your Key Responsibilities:- Manage and deliver a £100M programme of CSOs and storm overflow projects.- Collaborate with Water Recycling West Treatment Design Managers to create integrated solutions.- Champion innovative engineering strategies, including nature-based solutions (SuDS) and carbon-efficient infrastructure.- Lead and develop your engineering team to ensure best-in-class project execution.- Oversee design quality, ensuring a right-first-time approach.- Engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive success.- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.What you will need to be successful:- Engineering degree (or equivalent)- Experience in wastewater infrastructure – sewers, pumping stations, rising mains, attenuation tanks- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills- Passion for sustainability, innovation, and carbon reduction in engineeringDesign Manager Benefits:- A competitive salary- Hybrid Working (Jobs needs dependent)- Car/car allowance (Jobs needs dependent)- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy)- Contribution Pension scheme- Life Assurance- Health Insurance- Private Medical Insurance  If you are interested in the above Design Manager role, please click the ‘apply now’ button. Due to the high volume of applications, we receive we are not always able to reply to all applications.
