Facade Design Manager (Hybrid Working)Full Time, PermanentCambridgeshire£60,000 - £75,000 p.a (DOE)
Our client is a leading façade contractor in the UK that design and install a variety of systems including curtain walling, specialised renders, rainscreen cladding and steel framing systems. They have the ability to handle a full building envelope as well as the full project cycle from initial design to installation, working with their team of specialist project managers to ensure a quality finish.
Their excellent reputation has seen their growth rate rapidly continue year on year with more and more projects being secured in Manchester, where they are now growing their existing team to support their continued work.
Due to this growth, a Facade Design Manager is required to lead and expand their design team with a clear progression plan to a Design Director in 2 years.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering a wide range of prestigious multi-million pound projects across the industrial, commercial, and residential industries. The ideal applicant must have experience producing detailed drawings for a variety of different façade systems, especially rainscreen cladding.
This is a Hybrid working role 1 day a week in Peterborough with the requirement of some site visits.
What's involved for the Façade Design Manager...
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for construction teams
- Investigate technical issues and provide prompt, viable solutions
- Manage a small design team
- Produce layouts, technical reports and working drawings to agreed timescales
- Attend site project meetings
- Review drawings
- Assisting with tender stage
What you'll need…
- Façade or building envelope design experience
- Rainscreen cladding design experience
- Experience managing a design team
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit
- Experience working on commercial projects and residential projects
- Ability to deal directly with clients, consultants, and fellow team members
- Revit experience beneficial but not essential
